Main Showreel

All my best stuff edited together.

Jaeger LeCoultre Divers Watch

The watch has an unusual barometric pressure gauge with a bellows type operation amongst other high end features.

Physics driven Balloons

A simulation exercise using Maya cloth..

An Underwater scene with a fish

This a single layer. 1 pass render with no compositing. Long render though.

Vertu Signature Mobile Handset

The Vertu handset is modelled fromCAD data. Sometimes this data does not reflect the exact shape of the components as many are hand finished, so it's still good to get ones hands on an actual handset.

Tobi inhaler assembly

This is an instructional animation showing how to assemble and fill this medicinal inhaler.

Liquid Metal Mercury Logo

To get something like this to look cool you have to run a liquid simulation using a particle system and the guidelines of physics. There is a downloadable Windows Media version here.

Roulette spin with "ball cam"

I've done quite a few Roulette games. I've got a good physics simulation to create realistic ball animation and I am good at producing technically accurate work which is easy to integrate into the game code. Roulette games have lots of different animations of the ball throw to keep the screen interesting and unpredictable, and yet it must not be possible to predict the outcome of the game from which ball animation is playing. Here we have a camera "stuck" to the ball for a spin of the table.

Mobix workflow model

Mobix put video on mobile phones. This abstract creation shows the workflow between aquiring video in any form and getting it on to one of a range of mobile devices. The animation was originally made at 1024 x 576 for a widescreen display at exhibitions, and it loops.
